St. John USVI Sea Creatures: Porcupinefish (Diodon hystrix)
The pocupinefish can usually be found lurking around cave entrances
and will quickly retreat inside when approached. They will then peer
out from the opening of the cave. When threatened the porcupinefish
inflates and its long spines became erect.
